A wonderful web page Steinar, I hope to see it for a long time. The surname Larsen info was very interesting to me. I'm still trying to find my family. Steinar, I was able to visit your lovely town just last week. I was amused with the link to the factoid on the record high temperature held by Nesbyen. No doubt I did not see any of the heat. The weather was not terrible but compared to here, rather chilly. I was in the post office several times to mail post cards. It is much like ours. Dr. Charles D. Ledger AE4DE

We both now have looked at your web page. We do not have one yet. I hope you and my husband can come up with a common ancestor before his trip to Norway in October. Thanks for replying. Jeanne Stenerson

I was looking for information about Hallingdal as my Norwegian mother's family relocated to Minnesota from there. Her maiden name was Ronningen (spelling changed on arrival into the states). Marie Larson from Hallingdal was my great-grandmother. I will be back to research more about my family. Thanks! Anita
