Lars Larsen Ellingbråten.

was born 29th of May 1859.

Baptised in Nes kirke 29th of may same year. Confirmated 7th june 1876. Under
the Censius 1865 he stayed in Ellingbråten. We do not know much more about Lars.
He then in 1878 went out from Nes. Emigration to Christiania on May 13th 1878.
These is to be read from the Church book for Nes this year. There is only one thing
          we know today.
An older brother Thorvald went over to America in 1902 and Thorvald's son say
in a letter that it is probably true that Thorvald went to his brother Lars on the way
to Minnesota!! We belive this is Lars.

This we would like to know more about.

After a lot of study I do not know more today. But a lookup from the Arcive in
Oslo by a friend of mine give me hope:

          >"Av de Lars Larsener jeg fant, var det en som fanget interesse:  >Lars Larsen, arb.,
21 aar fra N. Land reiste med dampskibet Hero den 16. >mai 1879 til Morhead, Min.
          >Han har nr 34 og finnes på side 241. "Reise betalt ". >Moorhead ligger ved Red River
på grensen mellom Minnesota og Dakota. >Minnesota er også nabo til Wisconsin."

This is a relay of the contence of the info.
I suppose it is easy to get the info even for English reading people. He is 21 year in
1879. This means the born year is 1859. I make this solution course that many
people close to the birthdate said age was so. And the date was only 2 weeks ahead.
Nordre Land is also close to Nes and many people worked in this area. Here you
can find big farms and they needed a lot of workers. If Lars emigrated out from Nes
in 1878 theere is also possible that he went via the Hadeland on his way to Oslo.
Now it is time to find his papers in USA or Canada where the ship was going on this
special trip. If this is true there is a slit chance to find one missing person of the family.

          Any help would be precioused!
